Life Path Number
The life path number is the most important number in a numerology chart. It is calculated by reducing your full date of birth to a single digit or a master number, and it describes the broad direction and lessons of your life.
How it's calculated
- Write your full date of birth in numbers, for example 14 March 1990 becomes 14, 3, and 1990.
- Reduce the day, the month, and the year each to a single digit, keeping 11 and 22 as they are.
- Add the three results together and reduce again, keeping 11, 22, and 33 as master numbers.
Example 14 March 1990: the day 14 becomes 1 + 4 = 5, the month is 3, the year 1990 becomes 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19, then 1 + 9 = 10, then 1. Adding 5 + 3 + 1 gives 9, so the life path number is 9.
