What is Numerology?

Numerology is a metaphysical discipline that studies the symbolic relationship between numbers and life events. The Western tradition draws on ideas attributed to the school of Pythagoras (c. 570–495 BCE), though its modern form is much more recent. Within this system, every number from 1 to 9 — along with the master numbers 11, 22, and 33 — is associated with distinct qualities that practitioners read into personality, relationships, career paths, and spiritual growth.
