Rational Thought Number

The rational thought number combines the letters of your first name with your day of birth, reduced to a single digit. It describes how your mind works through problems and makes decisions. Like the balance number, it is considered a minor number in the chart.

How it's calculated

  1. Convert every letter of your first name to its Pythagorean value and add them together.
  2. Take your day of birth as a number.
  3. Add the first-name total and the day of birth together and reduce to a single digit.

Example First name John: J(1)+O(6)+H(8)+N(5) adds up to 20, born on the 14th: 20 + 14 gives 34, which reduces to 3 + 4 = 7. The rational thought number is 7.
