Personality Number

The personality number is the sum of the consonants in your full birth name, reduced to a single digit or master number. It describes your outer self, the impression you make on people before they get to know you. It works alongside the soul urge number, which covers the vowels instead.

How it's calculated

  1. Write out your full birth name and mark every consonant, every letter that is not a vowel.
  2. Convert each consonant to a number using the Pythagorean chart.
  3. Add the values together and reduce to a single digit, keeping master numbers.

Example John Smith: the consonants J(1), H(8), N(5), S(1), M(4), T(2), and H(8) add up to 29, which reduces to 2 + 9 = 11. Because 11 is a master number, it stays as 11.
