The essence number is calculated by adding together the values of whichever transit letters are active during a particular year of life, then reducing the total. How it's calculated
- Determine which letters of your full name are currently active as transit letters for your age.
- Convert each active letter to its numerology value using the Pythagorean chart.
- Add the values together and reduce to a single digit, keeping master numbers.
Example If the active transit letters for a given year are J, O, and H, add their values 1 + 6 + 8 = 15, then 1 + 5 = 6. The essence number for that year is 6.
