Bridge Number

The bridge number is the difference between two core numbers in your chart, most often your life path number minus your destiny number. It suggests how to bring those two energies closer together when they feel out of step. It is considered a minor chart number.

How it's calculated

  1. Calculate your life path number and your destiny number.
  2. Subtract the smaller from the larger to find the difference.

Example Life path 9 and destiny number 8: the difference is 9 minus 8, which is 1. The bridge number is 1.

Why is the bridge number not reduced further?
It is usually already a single digit, since it comes from subtracting two numbers that are each already reduced. There is nothing left to reduce.
