What is a Personal Month number?
Your Personal Month is the month-sized step inside your Personal Year. It takes the year's theme and gives each month a different angle on it: a Personal Year 1, for instance, opens with a Personal Month 2 in January and moves through 3, 4 and so on. Numerology reads it as the mood and the best use of the next few weeks.
How to calculate it
Add your Personal Year number to the number of the calendar month (January 1 to December 12, reduced), then reduce to a single digit. In a Personal Year 5, May is 5 + 5 = 10, which gives a Personal Month 1. The calculator above works out the year first and then the month.

Frequently Asked Questions About Numerology
- Does my Personal Month change on the 1st?
- Yes. It follows the calendar month, so it changes on the first of each month, not on your birthday.
- Why do I get a different number from another site?
- Some practitioners start the Personal Year on your birthday rather than in January, which shifts every month after it. This site follows the calendar-year convention, the more common one.
- Can a Personal Month be a master number?
- Totals of 11 and 22 are reduced here to 2 and 4, as most month tables do; the master quality is noted in the year reading instead.
- How does it relate to the Personal Day?
- The Personal Day adds the day of the month to the Personal Month. The month is the chapter; the day is the page.
This result is the numerology tradition's symbolic interpretation — an invitation to reflect, not a scientific prediction or a fact about you.
