Master numbers 11, 22 and 33
The Vedic tables stop at 9, so a master number takes the gemstone, colours and day of its reduction: 11 reads as 2, 22 as 4, 33 as 6. The master quality shows in how you use them, not in a different stone.
Where this comes from
The planet rulers (1 Sun, 2 Moon, 3 Jupiter, 4 Rahu, 5 Mercury, 6 Venus, 7 Ketu, 8 Saturn, 9 Mars) and their stones, colours and days are the standard tables of Indian numerology, the same ones the Vedic calculator on this site uses. Gemstones in that tradition are worn to strengthen a planet; this page describes the correspondences, it does not prescribe them.
Frequently Asked Questions About Numerology
- Is my lucky gemstone based on my life path or my birth day?
- Vedic numerology usually pairs stones with the psychic number (the day of the month) and the destiny number (the whole date, the life path). This page lists them by life path; the Vedic calculator shows both.
- Do I have to wear the stone?
- No. In the tradition a gemstone is a way to strengthen a planet, and practitioners differ on when that is wise. Treat the list as a set of correspondences to explore, not a prescription.
- Why do 2 and 7 share Monday?
- Because 7 answers to Ketu, which has no weekday of its own and takes the Moon's. The same happens with 4 and 8 on Saturday, where Rahu borrows Saturn's day.
- Can I use the colours in my home or clothes?
- That is the most common use. The colours are read as the planet's own, so wearing or surrounding yourself with them is thought to keep that influence close.
