Pinnacle Number
A pinnacle number is one of four numbers found by adding parts of your birth date together in a set pattern. Each one governs a long period of life, with the first period typically ending somewhere between age 27 and 35 depending on the life path number. Together the four pinnacles map out life's major chapters.
How it's calculated
- Reduce your month, day, and year of birth each to a single digit.
- First pinnacle: add the month and the day.
- Second pinnacle: add the day and the year. Third pinnacle: add the first and second pinnacles. Fourth pinnacle: add the month and the year.
Example Born 14 March 1990: month 3, day 5 (1+4), year 1 (1990 reduces to 1). First pinnacle: 3+5=8. Second: 5+1=6. Third: 8+6=14, reduces to 5. Fourth: 3+1=4.

Common questions
- How long does each pinnacle period last?
- It varies by life path number. The first period typically ends somewhere between age 27 and 35, with the remaining three periods dividing the rest of life.
- How are pinnacle numbers different from challenge numbers?
- Both use the same birth-date parts and the same four life periods, but pinnacles add the parts together while challenges subtract them. Pinnacles describe opportunities; challenges describe obstacles.
- Can a pinnacle number be a master number?
- Yes. Some numerologists keep 11 or 22 as master pinnacles instead of reducing them, similar to how master numbers are handled elsewhere in a chart.
