Hidden Passion Number
The hidden passion number is the digit that appears most often among the letter values of your full birth name. It points to a concentrated talent or drive that runs through your chart. More than one digit can qualify if there is a tie for the most frequent.
How it's calculated
- Write out your full birth name and convert every letter to its Pythagorean value.
- Count how many times each digit from 1 to 9 appears.
- The digit, or digits, that appear most often are your hidden passion numbers.
Example John Smith: the letter values are 1, 6, 8, 5, 1, 4, 9, 2, 8. Both 1 and 8 appear twice, more than any other digit, so 1 and 8 are tied as hidden passion numbers.

Common questions
- Can I have more than one hidden passion number?
- Yes. When two or more digits tie for the highest count, all of them count as hidden passion numbers.
- How is this different from the destiny number?
- The destiny number adds every letter value together. The hidden passion number instead looks at which single value repeats the most, regardless of the total.
- What does a hidden passion number mean?
- It suggests a talent or drive you may lean on naturally, even if it does not show up as clearly as your life path or destiny number.
